Bringing Alaskan Families Closer: Angel Eye Cameras in Our NICU
We are thrilled to announce a significant development at Providence Alaska Children’s Hospital that brings comfort and connection to families during what can often be a challenging time. Thanks to generous funding from our incredible Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN) partners, we have successfully installed Angel Eye cameras across all 55 beds in our NICU. These state-of-the-art cameras provide a crucial lifeline for families, allowing them to remain connected to their newborns even when they cannot be physically present at the bedside.
The journey of having a newborn in the NICU is often accompanied by feelings of stress and longing. We understand the importance of nurturing that emotional bond between parents and their babies, which is why the Angel Eye camera system is such a valuable addition to our unit. Now, parents can log into a secure portal and gain real-time visual access to their precious little ones from anywhere in the world. This innovative technology not only helps ease anxiety but also facilitates more inclusive family involvement in the care and development of their baby during this critical period.
The Angel Eye camera system is easy to use, ensuring that families can connect quickly and seamlessly. It is equipped with live-streaming capabilities, allowing parents to see their babies 24/7. With safety and privacy as top priorities, every feed is securely encrypted, ensuring that the precious moments you share are protected. For more information on how this system works, you can visit the Angel Eye Health website here.
This leap forward in family-centered care was made possible through the unwavering support of our CMN partners. Their contribution underscores a commitment to enhancing the healthcare experience for both patients and families, reinforcing the idea that healing is more holistic when families are engaged and informed.
We are excited to see the positive impact that the Angel Eye cameras will have in our NICU, and we are grateful to all those who helped make this initiative possible. Our hope is that this technology will provide families with comfort, reassurance, and the joy of being able to watch their newborns grow and thrive, no matter where they are.
Thank you for trusting us with the care of your loved ones. We are honored to serve your families, and we remain dedicated to ensuring the best possible environment for healing, growth, and connection
